Description: The "Aspiring to Leadership" Workshop is designed to assist potential superintendents and assistants in thinking about their expectations, goals and responsibilities as prospective commissioned officers.  Presenters will discuss a wide variety of topics during this two-day program, including:

• beliefs, principles, passions and commissions that motivate one to seek a leadership position in public education
• the dimensions of the superintendency
• making the transition
• the search process
• finding the right match
• developing a contract
• the entry process

Times and Locations:  Check-in begins at 12:30 p.m.  on Wednesday.  The program begins at 1:00 p.m. and concludes with dinner that evening.  The program resumes at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday with a continental breakfast and concludes at 3:30 p.m.  Lunch will be provided on Thursday.

Hotel: Overnight accommodations are available at a group rate in a nearby hotel.  Deadline for reservations is December 21.  See the registration form for details.
