Description: PASA and PASBO will decipher the budget numbers in this special webcast to help school officials determine how the budget will impact their districts.   This webinar will provide an overview of the plan, discussion of PDE initiatives, the latest information from the Capitol and the implications for schools.  The PA Department of Education's budget also will be examined, with a discussion on PDE initiatives and related issues. 

In this seminar, you will learn about:

  • state fiscal condition

  • the world under the new Act 1 limitations

  • what new education initiatives we could see

  • what current programs may be eliminated or modified

  • the pension pain starts, but the best is yet to come

  • other school budget-related issues
