Aspiring to Leadership Workshop

Friday, February 4, 2022
If you are considering a move into the Superintendency or Assistant Superintendency, this Workshop is a must!
The Aspiring to Leadership Workshop addresses topics essential to understanding the leadership roles of the Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent.  Attend all three parts, or those that are applicable:
Part 1: 10:00 am – 11:15 – Aspiring to the Superintendency
Part 2: 11:30 – 12:45 – Aspiring to the Superintendency or Assistant Superintendency
Part 3: 1:00 – 2:15 – Aspiring to the Assistant Superintendency

Dr. Bridget O’Connell, PA 2022 Superintendent of the Year, Superintendent of Palisades School District, will open the Workshop and inspire your next step along your career path.  Dr. Mark DiRocco, PASA’s Executive Director, will provide current data on the “state” of these positions.  Virginia Montgomery, PASA’s Legal Counsel, will offer critical considerations for commissioned officers’ contracts.  Other current and former superintendents and assistant superintendents with demonstrated expertise will share information about leadership, roles and responsibilities, school boards, cabinets, work/life fit, and preparation for and transition to each position.

Yes, the Superintendency is challenging, but it provides an opportunity like no other to significantly direct positive change for our children and their future!  Take the next step and join us!

If you are a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent, please do your part in filling the pipeline by forwarding this to those in your district who should consider the Superintendency or Assistant Superintendency.
