2025 PASA-PASBO Advocacy Day

Make your voice--and the voice of your school community--heard by joining PASA and the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials for a full day of activities in at the Harrisburg Capitol on May 6. 

Your presence is crucial at the Capitol where we will advocate for essential funding and policy reforms for public schools in the Commonwealth.

This year marks another pivotal moment in public education as we strive for equitable funding that supports all our PA schools through Adequacy, BEF and SEF funding, as well as long overdue cyber charter tuition reform.

What to know about our Advocacy Day: 

Our day will begin at the Capitol with breakfast, providing an opportunity to disseminate documents and prepare for the day ahead.

We'll then convene into smaller groups to meet with legislators, where we'll articulate our shared talking points and stories.

Know that PASA will assist you in coordinating your legislative visits. 

We are also coordinating a Press Conference on the Capitol steps at 1 p.m. this year to ensure school communities across the Commonwealth understand the impact of potential state funding changes and cyber charter tuition reform in their local communities.

Our afternoon will also include time with Pennsylvania Department of Education staff members and representatives from Governor Josh Shapiro's Office.
