Our Superintendents Academy-Phase 2 professional learning series is designed specifically for superintendents who have completed PASA’s New Superintendent’s Academy (NSA) or have at least one year of experience in the role.
This comprehensive 3-part series will build on the foundational lessons from our popular New Superintendents’ Academy program and will equip you with advanced strategies to foster coherence and excellence within your district. By adopting a systems perspective, you will gain a deeper understanding of the complex, interrelated components of leading and managing schools, enabling you to achieve optimal outcomes for your students and your district.

*ACT 45 CREDIT* Each two-day session of the Academy is approved for 30 hours of Act 45 credit, predicated upon program attendance and completion of the embedded activities.
Academy Schedule:
- July 30- July 31: Part 1: Identifying Effective Systems and Processes for Success
Topics will include: current challenges and opportunities in public school systems; developing a shared vision and a systems approach for impactful change; practical tools and frameworks for planning and implementation; strategies for fostering a culture of innovation and accountability
- December 11-12: Part 2: Integrating Operations into Your District Ecosystem
Topics will include: Systematizing school operations, facilities reviews and planning, managing construction projects
- April 16-17: Part 3: Building Relationships for Successful Negotiations
Topics will include: Processes for effective collective bargaining, labor relations including Act 93 plans, superintendent contracts

Day 1:
- Check in at 8:30 a.m.
