Centennial School District - Superintendent of Schools
The Board of School Directors for the Centennial School District, located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, is seeking an experienced, student-centered, highly qualified leader to fill the position of Superintendent of Schools. The Board is seeking a Superintendent of Schools who will embrace, drive, and expand the vision and mission of the district to encourage academic growth and ensure Centennial’s excellence in education for all students.
Applications are due on or before May 23, 2020 with the successful candidate to start on or after July 1, 2020. The ideal candidate must demonstrate:

The Centennial School Distric Community:
This suburban school district is located twenty miles north of Philadelphia in beautiful, historic Bucks County, PA. It serves the communities of Warminster Township, Upper Southampton Township, and Ivyland Borough, which encompass seventeen square miles of residential townships, light industry and commercial areas. The district serves approximately 5,900 students at the high school (9-12), the two middle schools (6-8), and three elementary schools (K-5). Each educational facility has state of the art resources allowing students to utilize creative learning spaces that bring concepts to life and provide meaningful learning experiences. The district also has an administration building and transportation center.
Leadership - The District seeks a superintendent who is innovative, risk-tolerant, and committed to the long-term success of the district. The successful candidate will create a positive, supportive and collaborative culture throughout the district and will support and empower the leadership team to work together with parents and students to advance the district’s mission.
Engagement - The District seeks a candidate who will be actively engaged in the community and will excel in strategic, positive, and proactive relationship-building among all stakeholders—staff, parents, students, and community members. The Superintendent will work to maintain a vibrant, positive, and inclusive school culture, including participation in District and community events.
Communications - The communication style of the Superintendent should encourage new ideas and constructive discussions from the community, staff, and students. All communications and information should be honest, transparent, positive and encouraging.
Expertise - The District seeks a superintendent who is highly skilled in pedagogy and who is passionate about education. The successful candidate will have extensive practical classroom teaching experience, and be able to demonstrate their expertise as a classroom instructor, so as to help develop and train existing staff and the next generation of teachers and other educational professionals. They will have expertise in understanding how all students learn and will be able to drive academic growth and improve district test scores.
Continuous Improvement - A superintendent who understands the complexities of leading a school district of Centennial’s size is desired. The successful candidate will have a commitment to continuous improvements in academics, safety, diversity, operations, and finance.
