Superintendent of Schools
The Governor Mifflin School District Board of Directors seeks a strong community focused leader with integrity, visionary educational leadership, superior communication skills, and outstanding executive management. Position effective June 2023 but interviews and hiring beginning in January 2023.
The desired candidate must have demonstrated experience in successful community engagement, high presence and visibility, achieving high academic performance, creating academic equity, sound financial and business management experience. Proven communication and leadership skills are required.
Ten years of public education experience, Masters degree, minimum of 3 years in central office administration, experience in building administration and current letter of eligibility is required. Secondary school administration in public education and curriculum oversight experience is preferred.

About the Superintendent role:
The Superintendent of Schools serves as chief executive officer of the school district, providing leadership in developing and maintaining comprehensive educational programs and services that advance the mission of the District. The Superintendent provides oversight to all District business, funds, and programming to provide maximum efficiency. The position provides oversight of administration and cabinet executives. The Superintendent interfaces with the School Board of Directors and provides guidance on educational and operational items for the district
