New Superintendents' Academy
A three-part program designed to provide new superintendents practical information regarding preliminary steps and complicated issues involved with entering a new leadership role
Led by experienced superintendents and other education leaders, the Academy gives you the tools you need to succeed in your new position. Take advantage of this excellent opportunity to not only gain useful information about the superintendency but also network with others new to the position and with superintendents experienced in the job. The three Academy sessions each focus on an essential element of the superintendency:
* Strategic and Cultural Leadership
* Systems Leadership
* Professional and Community Leadership
Aspiring to Leadership

This valuable program gives aspiring leaders the opportunity to hear about the roles of school system leaders and examine their own expectations and professional path to determine whether that is an appropriate career path for them. Superintendents are urged to send to this workshop those within their districts who should be considering a leadership position in the future.
