Call For Presenters: 2019 Programs

PASA is seeking high caliber proposals for its 2019 Webinar Series and 2019 PASA Leadership Forum (formerly the Education Congress).

Proposals that describe student-centered learning initiatives in which bold leaders are breaking barriers are requested. Selected proposals will address transformations related to pedagogy, space, schedules, student groupings, professional configurations, and/or other structures, systems, practices and policies that you are implementing for the purpose of creating relevant, responsive and thriving student-centered learning environments in your school(s).

About These Programs...

*Individual webinars in the 2019 Barrier-Breaking Leadership Webinar Series will be facilitated from the PASA office from noon – 1 p.m. These will be scheduled during times that suit PASA and the facilitators’ schedules. Accepted proposals will describe a presentation (Ted Talk, slides, videos, etc.) not to exceed 30 minutes and related to the theme of student-centered learning transformation(s) in your school(s). Q&A will follow. PASA staff will be onsite to provide assistance.

*The 2019 Leadership Forum will begin at 5:30 p.m. on March 17 and end at 4 p.m. on March 18 at the Hilton Harrisburg, with the theme The Future of Public Education: Bold Leaders Breaking Barriers. The accepted proposals will describe student-centered learning transformation in your school(s). These will be facilitated in the format of a Ted Talk, followed by a one-hour breakout session on the topic, both on March 18. The “Ed Talks” will consist of short, powerful talks (not to exceed 12 minutes) during a general session. The one-hour session will be offered as a breakout session.

Proposals will be rated on the presentation’s alignment with personalized student success, application to the program theme, demonstration of innovation, and identification of the expected outcome(s) for attendees.
