Seeking a dynamic individual with integrity, visionary leadership, superior communication skills, and outstanding management ability to lead a district of approximately 2,800 students with a $55 million budget, effective September 1, 2018.  The candidate must possess experience in achieving high academic performance, creating academic equity, and sound school finance and business management.  In addition, candidate must have excellent communication skills and cross-cultural abilities to maximize their effectiveness with diverse cultural constituent groups. Additional experience with curriculum development and implementation, knowledge of educational and innovative technology best practices, and success in community engagement is desirable. The school district strives to provide all students with a well-rounded educational experience where they acquire the 21st century skills necessary for a successful future. The school district includes seven elementary schools (K-5 with 3,167 students), three middle schools (6-8 with 1,758 students) and one high school (9-12 with 2,313 students). About the Position:
Seeking a visionary, strategic and decisive leader to be their next superintendent of schools. About the District: District is approximately 20 miles north of downtown Philadelphia and operates four K-5 elementary schools, one 6-8 middle school and one 9-12 high school, serving around 4,200 students total. 2017-18 operating budget: approx.  $100 million. Successfully passed a front-end referendum to build a new $119 million high school. Full-day Kindergarten is in operation at all elementary schools. Rich and varied academic program of studies is offered to all students. District strongly supports academics, the arts and athletics. All district schools accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, with graduation rate of 99.4 percent and more than 90 percent of the class of 2017 enrolled in a two- or four-year college or university. Approx. eight percent of seniors from the class of 2018 are National Merit Finalists and Commended Scholars. Requirements: Candidates should be student-centered and demonstrate leadership qualities marked by superior communication, problem-solving and financial management abilities; an ability to build teams and maintain trust; and good judgment in planning and decision-making. The candidates should also demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively with all district stakeholders in a manner exemplified by honesty and integrity. Seeking an outstanding, student-focused educational leader who has a strong academic background and experience managing an administrative team, a leader with vision who can lead an effective team and continue a collaborative culture, which fosters positive learning outcomes for an increasingly diverse student body, while maintaining fiscal discipline.  About the District: Approximately 15 miles southwest of Philadelphia,   nearly 10 square miles and encompassing four townships. Approximately 3,385 students in six schools, over 270 teachers (100% appropriately certified).  Over 74% of teachers hold a Master’s Degree or a Masters Equivalency Certificate. In addition, over 275 support staff.  Annual budget of approximately $75M. Seeking an experienced Superintendent to provide leadership in developing and maintaining comprehensive educational programs and services that advance the mission of the district.  The Superintendent oversees and administers the school district’s day to day business, educational and personnel operations, in accordance with general policies and strategic guidance adopted by the school board in consultation with the Superintendent. Qualifications: Superintendent PA Letter of Eligibility Certification or ability to meet PDE requirements for position of Superintendent K-12; advanced degree in business, finance, management or an advanced degree in education, special education, counseling, psychology or related field; ten (10) years’ experience in multiple areas of public education required, including elementary, middle or secondary school instruction and experience in central office preferred; at least five (5) years of experience in administration preferred; knowledge of K-12 curriculum, instruction and assessment, school organization and management, school district policy, and PA school law; demonstrated success with the application of strategic planning, program design and development as well as grant writing. District currently has an interim superintendent in place while the selection process takes place. About the Position:
District serves approx. 2500 students in four schools.  12-month position that reports to the Superintendent. The Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction is the chief academic officer for the school district, who will have oversight for the district's curricular and instructional program.
