PIAA Board of Directors September 18 Meeting Update:
The PIAA Board met on September 18 and voted to approve the Emerging Sport Program Application of girls’ flag football. The board also unanimously approved on a second reading basis, the 2024-2025, 2025-2026 Winter Sports Maximum Number of Qualifiers and Brackets and the 2024-2025, 2025-2026 Spring Sports Maximum Number of Qualifiers and Brackets on a first reading basis.

PIAA Board of Directors May 15 Meeting Update: The PIAA Board met on May 15 and voted on first reading basis to adopt girls' flag football. The board also approved the PIAA Winter Championship locations for 2024-25 through 2027-28:

PIAA Board of Directors March 20 Meeting Update: The PIAA Board met on March 20 and voted to approve a motion to establish a sub-committee to review the Competition Formula and make recommendations to the Board of Directors in May. Click here to read the full summary of the meeting.
PIAA Board of Directors February 21 Meeting Update: The PIAA Board met on February 21 and voted to reject changes to Article VI, Transfer Residence and Recruiting, Preamble, Section 2. H., Transfer from Court Assigned School, of the Bylaws, that would have added a sentence specifying that the 21-day sit out applicable to all other presumptively eligible students also applies to the students under this provision. The Board held an In-Service meeting where various topics were discussed including issues to be discussed by the Diversity, Equality, Inclusion, Belonging Committee; on the applicability of the Competition Formula to foreign exchange and international students; review of multi-school arrangements for eligibility; contracting for medical services at events; and a review of classifications to be discussed at an upcoming meeting.
